Bulky waste is waste that you cannot fit into a bin or bag. Examples of bulky waste include beds, carpets, fridges, freezers and wardrobes.
If you need to get rid of this type of waste then the Council will collect up to 3 items for a small charge of £8 before collection, depending on the type of item.
All bulky items must be placed out for collection the night before, at your usual collection point.
Please note, that we do not collect the following types of waste:
- Builders Rubble / Materials & Soil and Stones
- Hazardous Waste (e.g. asbestos, car batteries, waste oil etc)
- Rayburn Type Ovens
- Water Boilers (large)
- Kitchen Units and worktops
- Wooden planks and off cuts
- Commercial Waste.
It may be quicker if you were to take the items to your nearest civic amenity site, free of charge, at:
Nantycaws, Carmarthen
Trostre, Llanelli
Wernddu, Ammanford
Llangadog.
As part of our REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE strategy, we do ask householders to think before they throw.
Warning: Remember fly tipping is illegal & dumped and can incur a fine of up to £20,000.
