Deposit Local Development Plan – June 2011
As part of the preparation of the Deposit LDP a series of Topic and supporting Papers has been produced. These papers include revisions and updates to existing papers and have been prepared to inform the preparation of the LDP and to form part of the evidence base.

Topic Papers
Four Local Development Plan (LDP) Topic Papers were published in May 2009 for informal consultation as part of the preparation of the Carmarthenshire Local Development Plan (CLDP). The final date for receipt of comments was the 15 June 2009.
The purpose of this consultation was to set the context for the drafting of the CLDP Preferred Strategy. Whilst they were not exhaustive in content, the Papers were designed to provide details on key topic areas of the CLDP whilst also facilitating informal discussion and stakeholder input. The Papers will continue to change and evolve in accordance with the developing evidence base and the ongoing stakeholder consultation being undertaken in accordance with the Community Involvement Scheme.
The topic areas covered within the May 2009 Papers were: Issues, Vision and Objectives, Population and Housing, Site Assessment Methodology and Spatial Options & Settlement Hierarchy. These topics are central to the composition of the Preferred Strategy of the CLDP. Copies of these Papers (as revised) are available for viewing in the download box at the right of this page as are the consultation responses received.
Revisions to the papers are indicated through strikethroughs and underlining.
The LDP Team utilised the responses received to inform the preparation of the Pre-Deposit Preferred Strategy.
Topic Papers - October 2010
A further series of Papers were made available in October 2010. They are designed to set the context for the drafting of the Deposit LDP and will form part of the evidence base.

l Sustainable Development and Climate Change
The above papers were published for consultation from 1st November 2010 to 13th December 2010.
Updates to the following papers were also published.

l Issues, Vision and Objectives
These papers have been revised as a result of consultation responses received in respect of their initial publication in May 2009 and in respect of the consultation responses received in respect of the publication of the Preferred Strategy in November 2009.
