A Statutory Instrument (SI) amending Parts L, F and J of the building regulations (Conservation of fuel and power, Means of ventilation and Combustion appliances and fuel storage systems) was laid on 12 March 2010 for the regulations to take effect from October 2010. The relevant Approved Documents should be available shortly.
This SI also makes changes to the Building Regulations Competent Persons Schemes (CPSs) and minor technical amendments to Part G of the Building Regulations. Part G 2010 and CPS amendments will take effect on 6 April 2010. The 2010 version of the Approved Document can be downloaded from the external link on the right.
