Nestled alongside Carmarthen Castle, this 15th Century Grade II listed building now known as the ‘Angel Vaults Restaurant’ has stood overlooking  - ‘Notts Square’ since medieval times. Credit to the local contractors dedication and meticulous attention to detail the Angel Vaults has undergone a remarkable transformation.

During the course of the challenging renovation programme the intention was to create a modern, contemporary internal environment within the confines of a four storey historic superstructure. Indeed four storeys brought they’re own share of fire safety issues however these were tactfully overcome utilising fire engineering principles.

Further assiduous and innovative techniques were also utilised in ensuring that historic gems such as the surviving ‘late-medieval’ window were ingeniously incorporated within the new interior décor without compromising current regulatory requirements, providing idyllic views of the castle gateway.
