The Licensing Team deals with applications for a wide range of licences.
From premises and personal licences, licences under the
Licensing Act 2003, taxis, street trading, gambling, and certain special treatments including tattooing and body piercing.
The purpose of issuing licences is to ensure that all licensed activities will be carried out safely and in compliance with legal standards to protect the health, safety and welfare of persons who may be affected by a licensed activity.
The team also undertakes inspections of licensed premises and vehicles and takes enforcement action where necessary.
