Public Protection Fees and Charges 2010 – 2011 

Most fees and charges have increased between 0% – 25% over 2010 - 2011 rates.  Some fees and charges have been amended as a result of new legislation being implemented and those are substantially higher.  Last years charges are in brackets [ ].

The charges for examining, testing, certifying, stamping,authorising or reporting on special weighing or measuring equipment at the place where the service is provided - £72.50 [£70.00]/hr

1) Automatic or totalising weighing machines
2) Equipment designed to weigh loads in motion
3) Bulk fuel measuring equipment tested following a Regulation 65 or 66 occurrence
4) Weighing or measuring equipment tested by means of statistical sampling
5) The establishment of calibration curves from templets
6) Templets graduated in millilitres
7) Testing or other services in pursuance of a Community obligation other than EC initial or partial verification

Note: No increase has been made in charges in 2009/10 because of the alterations being made to the Carmarthen Provision Market.
