Certain licensing requirements for movement of animals are still in operation under the post foot and mouth movement regime.

Authorities to be sent Notification of Movements as follows:
Pigs
It is now the responsibility of the destination keeper to notify Local Authorities within 3 days of the movement being completed (white copy of form to be sent or faxed) All movements including those within pyramids and to slaughter must be notified.
Sheep and Goats
It is now the responsibility of the destination keeper to notify Local Authorities within 3 days of the movement being completed (white copy of form to be sent of faxed).
Cattle
The BCMS must be informed of cattle movements within 3 days. Any movement of livestock, other than pigs, on to a farm will invoke a 6-day standstill on further movements off that premise (except to slaughter and certain movements of breeding animals). When pigs are moved on to a farm, it invokes a 6 day standstill for cattle, sheep and goats, but a 20 day standstill for pigs.
