The Outcome Agreement Grant (OAG) is a successor to the IAG (Improvement Agreement Grant) and PIG (Performance Incentive Grant).
This is an agreement between the Welsh Government and Carmarthenshire County Council aimed at improving where the Council most needs to and has the capacity to do so. It is broadly based on the ‘One Wales’ agenda. It lasts for three years – April 2010 to March 2013. As within the IAG, this agreement contains a mixture of measures and actions chosen by the Authority and agreed by WAG. There is a grant linked to the agreement – worth almost £2m per year - £5.8m over three years. This is not an all or nothing payment but will be graded in stages depending on how many targets are met.
