The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives you the right to access recorded information held by public authorities such as Carmarthenshire County Council. The Act requires the Council to make a large amount of information routinely available to the public. We have therefore adopted the Information Commissioner’s model Publication Scheme.
Most of the information we publish under this scheme can be accessed on this website free of charge. Clicking on the headings below will provide links to the information we publish.
Where the information is made available by other means, such as inspecting a register, details are provided below on how to access it.
Making a request for information
If you find that the information you require is not already published, then you can make a request to the Council under the Act. Click on the headings below for more information.
The Information Commissioner’s Office is an independent body which ensures that public authorities comply with the Act and provides extensive guidance on the Act, including advice on how to make effective use of this legislation.
