St Ishmaels Foreshore Enhancement

The purpose of this enhancement was that community and visitors alike could enjoy the benefits of the excellent views. St Ishmaels Community Council were awarded £4522.96 to undertake physical works to the beach area above the high water mark and to provide interpretation panels on the history of the area. The physical work included improving the existing surface of the seating area and also to improve the existing pedestrian and disabled access for wheelchair users.

St Ishmaels Community Council – Visioning Days

St Ishmael community council was awarded funding to commission a consultant to work with local residents and community groups to organise and conduct a visioning exercise in two villages, Llansaint and Ferryside. The aim was to engage as many members of the community in the process of identifying the needs of local residents in relation to a wide range of issues, such as local services, the environment, crime, employment, training and health and well-being. The visioning days themselves were an excellent way of increasing community participation and forging partnerships between community groups.
