Carmarthenshire has been successful in securing grant funding of approximately £11m to regenerate rural Carmarthenshire through the second phase of the Rural Development Plan (RDP) for Wales 2007-2013.
The Rural Development Plan (RDP) is a European funded programme designed to support the regeneration of rural areas.
The RDP Programme is being managed by Grŵp Cefn Gwlad in conjunction with Carmarthenshire County Council as lead body.
During the first phase of funding more than £8m of RDP investment was approved to fund a range of support from business advice; environmental enhancements in key rural settlements; to grants to improve access to rural services.
