The Needs Mapping exercise is used to collect vital information for the development of new and existing housing related support services in Carmarthenshire. The information is collated and submitted to the Welsh Assembly on an annual basis.
From this information we have been able to develop new schemes to meet the need of the county. For example
- A floating support scheme for deaf and hard of hearing people which has enabled individuals to access various services and their community.
- A floating support scheme for people with HIV/Aids encouraging s ocialisation, combating isolation and giving advice on relationships, family issues and partnerships.
- Nightstop – Emergency temporary housing (1-3 nights) for 16 – 25 year olds staying at a volunteer hosts home.
