Minibus Links Heart of Wales Line to Tourist Attractions
26/07/2011

A new minibus service will launch soon that will give Heart of Wales Line passengers easier access to a range of tourist attractions in Carmarthenshire. It will serve Dinefwr Park (National Trust),  Aberglasney Gardens,  Dryslwyn Castle (CADW), and the National Botanic Garden of Wales.

Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday during August and September 2011 the ‘Tywi Valley Explorer’ minibus will meet trains at Llandeilo station and ferry them to their chosen destination, returning them to the train at the end of the day.

Seats on the minibus will need to be prebooked by 2pm the day before, as space is limited. It is wheelchair accessible. An all day ticket costs only £2 and gives 50% off the entrance charge to each attraction.

‘We’re excited to be working with our partners to support this much needed service’ says Tourism Partnership Director Gary Davies. ‘Until now it’s been difficult to get to these attractions without a car, and we anticipate great takeup’.

Details of the service are available from www.thebusthatmeetsthetrain.co.uk
