Keep Wales Tidy’s Project Officer for Carmarthenshire; Dan Snaith said, “This is a great opportunity to get out there and do something worthwhile for the benefit of locals, visitors and wildlife. The Wales Coast Path will be a fantastic asset to the country, so it is important we give it a good tidy up before the grand opening.”
He added “Anyone is welcome to join in with the planned events, but you can also organize your own event as a group, or just do your own cleanup or with your family. We have a limited supply of equipment which we can lend out. Please contact me for more information.”
Keep Wales Tidy project officers are based in communities across Wales and provide expert advice and support. They encourage communities to adopt their local area and assist volunteers to undertake a range of environmental improvement projects, including; litter picks, path maintenance, improving disabled access, developing community gardens and habitat management.
