All charges are currently subject to VAT at 20% from 4 January 2011.

l Depositing a Full Plans Application
The Plan Charge is the fee for submitting a Full Plans Application. A further fee may be payable after the Building Control Officer has carried out the first inspection of the work in progress. This is called the Inspection Charge.
l Giving a Building Notice
The Building Notice Charge is the fee for giving a Building Notice. There is no other charge payable when using this procedure.
l Applying for a Regularisation Certificate
The Regularisation Charge is the fee for applying for a Regularisation Certificate for unauthorised work. There is no other charge payable when using this procedure. The regularisation charge is 120% of the given building notice charge and is exempt from VAT.
All fees and charges are in accordance with The Building (Local Authority Charges) Regulations 1998.
