Joint Health & Social Care Scrutiny Forum

Over the past few years the Social Care & Health Scrutiny Committee has forged close links with the Carmarthenshire branch of the Hywel Dda Community Health Council. In 2009 the Joint Health & Social Care Scrutiny Forum was established with a view to strengthening the scrutiny of health and social care services. The Forum meetings are held on a quarterly basis and are always open to the public to attend.

For more details on the Forum's terms of reference, membership, meetings (agendas and action notes) and its forward work programme, please contact the Scrutiny & Consultancy Team on 01267 246121 or by email at: scrutiny@carmarthenshire.gov.uk.

The Forum is currently investigating the impact of the new Mental Health (Wales) Measure in Carmarthenshire.

During 2011/12 the Forum undertook a review of Dementia Services in Carmarthenshire. The final report is available online
